Radio & Television Broadcasting Program:
Single or Dual Concentration
For some, the choice between a career in radio or television is clear. For others, the introduction to both fields that all students get in the first 16 weeks of class provides students with the firsthand knowledge they need to select a concentration.
The industrious student, however, may opt to do both by enrolling in the dual concentration program, thereby increasing his or her program by a mere four months in length.
Program Length:
Single Concentration
16 weeks of basics
16 weeks of radio or TV
32 weeks total
Semester Credit Hours: 24
Clock Hours: 720
|
Dual Concentration
16 weeks of basics
16 weeks of radio
16 weeks of TV
48 weeks total
Semester Credit Hours: 36
Clock Hours: 1,080 |
A single concentration is 8 months long, while the dual concentration program is 12 months. Advantages to the 12-month program are increased marketability and cost-effectiveness since students obtain twice the skills without doubling the cost of tuition.
