DENISE LIPPERT

Denise achieved a B.A. in Radio, Television & Film from Wayne State University and has an extensive background in video production. She has worked for Producers Color Service, MetroVision Cable in Livonia, and also did an internship at Paramount Pictures. Most recently, Denise worked for Grace & Wilde Studios and its sister company Postique producing radio and TV spots as well as various business communications videos. What Denise is best known for is her love of the Beastie Boys, Blow Pops, cartoons, and crazy art projects. She enjoys being creative and likes painting, drawing, writing and gardening. One thing that Denise would like to eventually do is learn sign language. Thumbs up, Denise!

Most common question asked by callers: How much does the program cost?

Favorite TV commercial: The Honda commercial where they visually compare people's faces to different cars.

What TV advertisement bugs you the most? Any of the local lawyer ones

Favorite radio station: WDET

Why do you usually turn on the radio? To listen to "Fresh Air" or "The Tavis Smiley Show"

What song do you wish would disappear from radio? Anything those Brittany/Christina-type girls sing.

Would you pay for satellite radio? No

If you could interview anyone, who would it be? Adam Horowitz

What do you like most about your job? Helping to introduce people into this fabulously crazy industry!!

What do you like most about Specs Howard School? The staff and the program itself. People here seem to take a lot of pride in their jobs. The program
prepares students for entry level jobs in the industry by covering every essential aspect of what it takes to be successful in this business - I love the balance in this program - it not only prepares students for a job from technical and creative standpoint, but also reinforces the importance of maintaining a positive attitude within the work environment.

What impresses you most about students? Their creativity and the courage it takes to express it.

Favorite air personality: Ellen Degeneres and Oprah

Do you respond to TV commercials? Sometimes, usually for hair products or the latest "Blizzard" at the local DQ.

What is the funniest TV show you've watched lately? The Family Guy

Do you have a favorite TV channel? A&E

Likes: 80+ degree days, red wine & my husband :)

Dislikes: insecure, self-absorbed people

Favorite place: The beach

One thing you'd like to learn: How to crochet

Subjects that interest you: Art, philosophy, psychology.

Favorite movie: The Royal Tennenbaums

Places traveled: Mexico, Aruba & about 20 of the states...

Greatest accomplishment: Learning how to enjoy "The Moment".

Best book: Breathe Something Nice, by Stephanie Vaughn

Special talents/skills/hobbies: Don't know about talent or skills, but I like to write, paint, draw, garden and work on home projects.

Things people associate with you: I'm probably known for loving the Beastie Boys & blow-pops, talking to strangers and speaking my mind without much of a filter on the mouth.
