Director of Admissions



Nancy’s lengthy tenure at Specs Howard School started back in 1988. Since then, she has worn many hats, serving as Director of Financial Aid, Radio/TV Placement Advisor, Admissions Representative, and currently Director of Admissions. Nancy feels that the best part about her job is that she gets to meet new people everyday, and she gets the thrill of seeing Specs graduates land jobs in the industry. When she’s not at work, Nancy loves spending time with her family and especially enjoys watching her daughters play sports (she has three that keep her VERY busy!) Along with spending time with family, Nancy enjoys hiking, swimming, visiting museums and reading. Some of her favorite things include chocolate, vacationing to warm climates, and music.

What impresses you most in a prospective student? How determined they are to be a part of this incredibly fun business.

What seems to surprise students most about Specs Howard School? All the high-tech equipment.

Favorite area of the school to tour: The entire school!

What classes should high school students take if they want to pursue a radio or television career? English, speech, writing

What trait do successful Specs students share? Passion for the business and hard-working

Favorite TV commercial: Budweiser -- I always get a chuckle.
